Galleria Campari

opened in the historic location of the plant Sesto. The inauguration was an occasion to celebrate 150 years of history of Campari. The Gallery is a permanent laboratory, multimedia and sensory which tells the story of the brand through the modern and contemporary art. A story of brilliant insights, advertising campaigns, image collection.

Galleria Campari: Milan design tour for ExpoThe single-dose bottliglia was created by Depero for Campari Gallea.  Campari is a place of memory. Some works on display, in fact, have been reinterpreted and animated with multimedia technologies, in order to perceive through the sense of smell and hearing, experiencing a total sensory experience. The venue, which dates back to 1904, has been restored by the architect Mario Botta in 2009. Galleria Campari extends over two floors, the first dedicated to the experience Campari with the exhibition of works by international artists such as Leonetto Cappiello, Bruno Munari and Ugo Nespolo .

the ancient Castello Sforzesco

is now a museum and cultural center of the first order. The first core of Castello Sforzesco in Milan dates back to the fourteenth century and it was built by Galeazzo II Visconti as a fortress to the city of Milan: you can still see the moat which is now overgrown with grass. Castello Sforzesco is  a square with four corner towers.

His successors built the castle and then established their residence. But when the last heir of  Visconti, Filippo Maria, died without sons, the Ambrosiana Republic and knocked down the castle, which will be rebuilt a few years later by Francesco Sforza, husband of the illegitimate daughter of Filippo Maria, Bianca Maria, giving rise the domain of the Sforza…

 The Duomo of Milan (Milan Cathedral)

is located on the square next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and is surmounted by the famous Madonnina, which is the symbol of the city of Milan since the beginning of the nineteenth century. With its neo-Gothic facade, the Duomo of Milan is always the most favourite stop of a tour in the historic centre of Milan. Every day  thousands of visitors come from all over the world to admire it! The goal of Milan Expo 2015 project, made to measure for you by ourItalian Language School, is to discover not only the turistic side of the Duomo of Milan but also every hidden beautiful corner of the centre of the city!

All works for its construction began in 1386 at the behest of Archbishop Antonio da Saluzzo and Gian Galeazzo Visconti, lord of the city at the time and it arose in the area previously occupied by the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.

The Teatro alla Scala is the starting poit of our Historic centre in Milan Tour for Expo.

The Teatro alla Scala in Milan (often simply is one of the most famous theaters all over  the world.  For more than two hundred years has hosted  internationally recognized artists and has been commissioner of works still present in the posters of opera houses around the world. The theater takes its name from the Church of Santa Maria alla Scala, in its turn so named in honor of the a developer Queen of Scala. The church was demolished in the late eighteenth century in order to built the new theater (“Nuovo Regio Ducal Teatro alla Scala “), opened August 3, 1778 with “L’Europa riconosciuta”, composed for the occasion by Antonio Salieri. From the year of foundation is the seat of its, choir, the orchestra, its dancers, and since 1982 also of  the Philharmonic.
